JANUARY

South Florida Fair Inspired by the first Earth Day some 50 years ago, the South Florida Fair showcases the impact of agriculture on the Palm Beaches. From livestock and farm equipment to locally grown fresh produce, an array of cuisines and don't forget the pig races, this popular annual event entertains more than half a million visitors annually. FEBRUARY

The Honda Classic The Honda Classic has been played at PGA National for more than 14 years, and this iconic professional golf tournament is a favorite among local residents. The annual Honda Classic draws a bevvy of world class PGA stars and is played on PGA National's distinctive Champion Course. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this challenging course is famous for a difficult 3-hole stretch called The Bear Trap. Visit the Honda Classic website here.

Delray Beach Open This immensely popular ATP 250 tennis tournament consists of highly competitive, single-elimination singles and doubles events and features many of the world's top-ranked men's professionals. MARCH

The Palm Beach County Boat Show On picturesque Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach, this annual draw for nautical aficionados displays an unprecedented number of vessels, from runabouts to mega yachts. Best of all, the balmy breezes and water views of downtown West Palm Beach make for the ultimate backdrop whether you're truly in the market for a new boat or passing the time with waterfront daydreams. APRIL

SunFest Also on Flagler Drive near downtown West Palm Beach, SunFest is a highly anticipated event each year where more than 40 bands perform on multiple stages over four days. Big name national acts to local, but accomplished, musicians delight fans under sunny South Florida skies as they take in delectable cuisine, adult beverages, award-winning art, fireworks and more. ArtiGras For the love of art, folks from across the country flock to this art show in Jupiter, Florida's Community of Abacoa. Gallery-quality pieces in dozens of mediums are displayed in booths along with the 300 talented artists who created them. While adults interact with the artists, their kids participate in all manner of kid-friendly art-related games and activities. There's also live music and plenty of food. Palm Beach Home Design and Remodeling Show

This major league annual show at the Palm Beach County Convention Center draws all the influential players into one convenient setting for conventiongoers to compare, contrast and daydream to their heart’s content. JUNE

West Palm Beach Boat Show

If the Palm Beach County Boat Show in March wasn’t enough, then the West Palm Beach Boat Show might be just the thing to fill your nautical needs. This annual event packs all the punch of its big brother, but in smaller packages up to 40 feet in length. Peruse hundreds of power boats, cruisers, center consoles, kayaks, paddleboards and more. JULY

Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival

Each year, the Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival puts on live performances in its Shakespeare by the Sea productions at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park in Jupiter. These professionally produced performances are free to the public (with suggested small donation) and draw families with blankets, lawn chairs and children in tow. Flavor

Flavor is a highly anticipated event for the foodies among us where more than 50 restaurants from Jupiter to Boca Raton offer prix fixe pricing on lunch and dinner options throughout the entire month of September. OCTOBER

Oktoberfest

The American German Club of the Palm Beaches throws this popular event each year where throngs of visitors dine on authentic German meals from bratwurst to schnitzel; sip imported and domestic beers, schnapps and liquor; and listen to entertainment by two original Oktoberfest bands whose members hail from the mother country. NOVEMBER

TimberTech Championship Golf Tournament

The TimberTech Championship draws the best of past acclaimed golfers, including legends like Bernhard Langer, Mark Calcavecchia, Nick Price and Hale Irwin. Over 50 greats participate in the PGA Tour event, which is part of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs and takes place on the Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton. DECEMBER

Holiday Boat Parades

Each December, Palm Beach, Boynton Beach and Delray Beach put on their own version of a boat parade for the holidays. Dozens of runabouts to mega yachts decked out in lights, costumed deckhands, music and more take to the intracoastal at sunset and delight parade watchers lining the shore for miles. Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival
